Thankful Sunday 5“Sometimes we spend so much time and energy thinking about where we want to go that we don’t notice where we happen to be.” -Dan Gutman

“Do not indulge in dreams of having what you have not, but reckon up the chief of the blessings you do possess, and then thankfully remember how you would crave for them if they were not yours.” -Marcus Aurelius

“Those blessings are sweetest that are won with prayer and worn with thanks.” -Thomas Goodwin

Today, I am thankful for being at home with both of my boys. Nikola is out of school this entire week for Thanksgiving Break. 🙂

Today, I am thankful for finding a family recipe for Pecan Pie. I still am not sure whose recipe because it was tucked inside a folder titled “Family Recipes,” but it was written in my handwriting and I didn’t put a name on it. 🙁 However, I used it today and the Pecan Pie turned out SO good! <3

Thursday, November 22, 2018 (HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!)

Today, I am extra thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful that my mom came and ate dinner with us. It was a good day. <3

Today, I am thankful that I was able to get the bills paid and our budget completed quicker than usual because the boys were playing with their Nana. (Nana’s are awesome!)

Today, I am thankful for seeing my Daddy. <3 I hadn't seen him in a while and I wasn't sure if I was going to get to see him during the Thanksgiving break. It was great to get hugs and to catch up. The boys (especially Nikola) were so excited to see him. Love you, Daddy.

Today, I am thankful for all my many blessings this week. I really enjoyed having Nikola home and I am going to miss him when he starts back to school tomorrow. I have enjoyed having Ben off work the last 4 days and watching him spend some good, quality time with Nikola and Sagan. They miss him when he is off working hard for us. I am thankful he works so hard to provide for us.

**I have decided to keep up my #ThankfulSunday, even after November comes to an end. It is a great way to keep myself humbled. I love being reminded each day, to stop and take a moment to look at all my blessings. I will see you next week, my friends. <3

What are you thankful for?

“In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

  1. Well, I’m thankful for my family, pets, home, having reliable transportation, clean drinking water, and nutritious food to eat.
