What Is Motivating Me This Week?

What Is In My Scripture Journal?

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.” Corinthians 13: 1-3

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” Corinthians13: 4-8

“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” -Romans 12: 9-10

“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12: 29-31

What Am I Reading?

“New York Times bestselling author Dr. Gary Chapman guides couples in identifying, understanding, and speaking their spouse’s primary love language-quality time, words of affirmation, gifts, acts of service, or physical touch. By learning the five love languages, you and your spouse will discover your unique love languages and learn practical steps in truly loving each other.” Amazon.com

The 5 Love Languages of Children By Gary Chapman & Ross Campbell

The same concept as the one above for couples, but this is geared towards adults and children relationships. I great way to learn how to best show your child you love them.

What Is On My Radio?

Sing, so the back row hears you
Glide, ’cause walking just won’t do
Dance, you don’t have to know how to
Ever since, ever since grace got you
Laugh, ’til your whole side’s hurting
Smile like you just got away with something
Why? ‘Cause you just got away with something
Ever since, ever since grace got you

So when you’re standing in the rain again
You might as well be dancing
Why? ‘Cause there ain’t no storm that can change how this ends
So next time when you feel blue
Don’t let that smile leave you
Why? ‘Cause you have every reason just to…

Grace Got You, MercyMe

I am no longer defined
By all the wreckage behind
The one who makes all things new
Has proven it’s true
Just take a look at my life

Hello, my name is child of the one true king
I’ve been saved, I’ve been changed, and I have been set free
Amazing grace is the song I sing
Hello, my name is child of the one true king

Hello My Name Is, Matthew West
