I am 32 years old, and I have a degree in Elementary Education. This is my second blog, but things have really changed since I was 25! I am a wife and a mother to two little boys, ages 4 and 2. My tank is fueled by coffee, hugs, giggles, and lots of wet kisses. I spend my days dodging Nerf bullets, jumping over little cars, cleaning up spills, wiping runny noses, washing a million loads of laundry at day, etc…to name just a few. I love my husband and my boys. I would do absolutely anything for them, but I’m struggling to find inspiration in all the chaos. I went from working in a classroom to running my own district for Texas AgriLife Extension, part of Texas A&M. I was in control of 20 plus counties and I was only 25. I felt like I was successful and relevant. Writing has always been a huge part of my life and who I am, but I haven’t written anything new since becoming a mom. I have no regrets about my little boys, but I do think that moms tend to put themselves on the back burner. I have slowly forgotten who I was before mommy, so this is my way of finding myself again and really learning to be grateful in every moment, even the sticky, messy ones. I still love too quickly, love too easily, and give too freely. I’m still far from perfect, and I seriously ask myself daily “how bad am I messing up my kids?” I invite you to come along with me. Let’s laugh. Let’s cry.
Let’s be inspired together.
