Thankful Sunday 1

“The unthankful heart discovers no mercies; but the thankful heart will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings.” –Henry Ward Beecher

“Sometimes the little things in life mean the most.” –Ellen Hopkins

I want to take part in giving thanks every day in November, but I wasn’t really keen on the idea of doing a short post every day because some days it might literally be a sentence. I decided to do #Thankful Sunday. Each Sunday I will do a post that includes a week’s worth of giving thanks! 🙂 🙂  Keep On Reading!!

Well, It Has Been Awhile…

Graduation Day

**I originally posted this on February 25, 2012. This was taken from my journal and written on May 14, 2011, about my college graduation day. I still have no regrets about that day.

May 14, 2011…..My Graduation Day

The day has finally come. I will walk across that stage and receive the diploma I have worked so hard to grasp. My family will be there, my friends, and my husband of almost 5 wonderful years. Right? That was the dream. The ideal scenario only a short year or two ago. However, reality has a way of changing on you when you least expect it or in my case when I just decided to turn a blind eye and pretend like everything was fine. What is my graduation day really going to consist of? Keep On Reading!

Minute by Minute….

**I originally posted this on January 10, 2012. I still struggle with letting go and letting God take the reins. God has His own timing, and it is usually not the same as ours. What I find interesting is only five days after posting this I met my husband. So be patient.

“Men have contrived instruments to measure the motion of time, but they have no scales to weigh, no figures to compute, no words to describe its value.”-John Thornton

“Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you.”-Carl Sandburg

Sometimes, life has a way of making you feel bipolar. 🙂 Letting go is a constant battle for me and the good Lord above. I do know that life has gotten better than it was just a month or so ago, but it’s still minute by minute for me. Keep On Reading!
